Hi all,

With the recent purchase of my MST FXX chassis I'm keen to get a much better understanding of settings.

What do people currently run?

not much camber at rear ( -3 or -6 max ), not much toe too, +1 or +2 at rear, and -1 or -2 in front. a good caster in front, with a normal camber, so, +9 or more caster, and +5 or +7 camber, but i think if you make a basic FRD set up, it's a good idea Wink the FXX is very similar of the FRD Wink

from what i noticed, i can tell that:
more offset for the rear gives better traction and less drift.
less offset gives more drift(might be even very difficult to drive) and less traction.
I can tell you that 3mm each side is a veeeeery great difference.
More toe-in for the rear gives more drift, toe 0 at rear gives better traction.
You just have to find the right balance between them.

Example i changed my disc brakes and now i have to use ~6mm offset rims. I used 6 in front and 3 for the rear, but with a 1 mm spacer, so 2mm difference. In cs i`m sure there`s no big difference. But in rwd, the car was very difficult to drive and i was spinning for some times in the end of the long drift.
Now i have 6mm front and rear, and with 1mm toe in. If i put 0mm toe-in, the car has very much grip and does not drift well.

Interesting, thanks Danku!

Seems like it's going to be a serious amount of trial and error!

not really...you just have to test and adjust for you surface and your style. Make some laps, then adjust according to your wish, test fore some laps again, and so on and so far  Smile Each little modification of the geometry brings substantial changes in rwd compared to cs, especially in the rear.

Good luck Smile
