A Top 25 showdown is on tap at the Allen Fieldhouse this evening, as the sixth-ranked Kansas Jayhawks square off with the 16th-ranked Iowa State Cyclones in a key Big 12 tilt. Catch all the action on TSN2 at 11pm et/8pm pt. The nine-time Big 12 champion Jayhawks are positioning themselves for another title, as they have run out to a flawless 6-0 mark in conference play thus far. Bill Selfs squad is playing some of its best basketball of late. After knocking off four straight nationally-ranked foes, Kansas avoided a letdown this past weekend, blowing out TCU on the road, 91-69. Fred Hoibergs Cyclones are 15-3 overall and have some marquee wins to their credit, knocking off Michigan, Iowa and Texas thus far. The team continued to bolster its resume with last weekends 81-75 win over nationally-ranked Kansas State. The victory ended a three-game losing streak for Iowa State and moved the team to 3-3 in league play. Kansas has won four straight meetings and 17 of the last 18 overall to take a 174-59 all-time series lead. KU is seeking the regular-season sweep after posting a 77-70 win in Ames on Jan. 13. The Jayhawks hold a 89-15 edge in Lawrence and a 48-9 advantage at the Allen Fieldhouse, including wins in the last eight meetings there. After winning its first 14 games of the season, Iowa State has started to return to the pack a little bit, with losses in three of the last four games. Still, the Cyclones remain dangerous, leading the Big 12 in scoring (84.8), assists (18.2), assist-to-turnover ratio (1.7) and three-point field goals made (8.7). The scoring pool is deep for ISU, with four of the five starters in double figures. Melvin Ejim leads the team with 17.9 ppg, while also grabbing 7.3 rpg. DeAndre Kane is the new edition to the roster and has made an immediate impact with 16.3 points and 7.1 rebounds per outing. Georges Niang (15.4 ppg) and Dustin Hogue (11.9 ppg, 9.3 rpg) add to ISUs firepower. Iowa State shot a scorching 61.5 percent from the floor in the first half to take a 12-point lead over Kansas State into intermission. The Cyclones cooled off considerably after the break (35.7 percent), but were able to hold on for the win. Ejim just missed a double-double, finishing with 20 points and nine rebounds. Niang poured in 18 points, followed by Matt Thomas (14 pts) and Kane (10 pts). Hogue netted eight points, but grabbed a team-best 12 boards. Freshman Andrew Wiggins scored a career-high 27 points to lead the Jayhawks to the easy win over the Horned Frogs last time out. Kansas shot a sterling 57.4 percent from the floor and held a 40-24 rebounding advantage in the rout. Fellow freshmen Joel Embiid (14 points and three blocks) and Wayne Selden Jr. (12 points), got into the act as well, while sophomore Perry Ellis (eight points) grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds. The Jayhawks have been ultra-efficient this season, ranking fourth nationally at an impressive .510 shooting percentage from the floor, leading to a hefty 79.6 ppg. Kansas has also been dominant on the glass with a +7.3 rebounding margin. A young squad that features three freshmen, one sophomore and one junior in the starting lineup, is peaking at the right time. Wiggins was the star recruit and has played well for the most part, leading the Jayhawks in scoring at 15.8 ppg. Ellis is second in the scoring column at 12.9 ppg. Embiid has burst on the scene as one of the nations most talented big men, shooting .667 from the floor, while averaging 11.2 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game. Mike Schmidt Jersey . Philippe Desrosiers stopped 42 shots through overtime and three more in the shootout to pick up his third shutout of the season for Rimouski (31-15-7). Zachary Fucale made 28 saves for Halifax (34-17-3) in the loss. Aaron Nola Jersey . The team said Saturday that the 36-year-old Robidas is expected to miss four to six months, jeopardizing his return this season. He was injured when he slid hard into the boards in the second period of a 2-1 shootout loss to Chicago on Friday. http://www.baseballphilliesofficial.com/joaquin-benoit-jersey-c-32/ .com) - Guard Greivis Vasquez and forward Patrick Patterson, two key pieces to the Toronto Raptors run to an Atlantic Division title in 2013-14, were both given qualifying offers by the team on Saturday. Dave Cash Jersey .com) - Jeff Teague finished with a game-high 26 points and eight assists as the Atlanta Hawks held off the Utah Jazz, 98-92, on Friday. Tug McGraw Jersey . And follow TSN.ca right through Deadline Day for all the updates. From Pierre LeBrun While Anaheim GM Bob Murray said earlier this season he was not going to trade Jonas Hiller despite the fact hes an unrestricted free agent on July 1, some sources have told TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun that Murray might be willing to move another goalie.Louis van Gaal wants West Ham to enjoy their Boleyn Ground farewell on Tuesday but remains ruthless in his desire for a vital Manchester United victory. The Hammers host Man United, live on Sky Sports, in their final home game before making the move to the Olympic Stadium next season and emotions are bound to be high among the Boleyn faithful. But the game is just as important for Van Gaals side, who know they can move ahead of rivals Manchester City into fourth place with victory in the East End of London. That would leave them needing only to beat Bournemouth on the final day of the Premier League season to ensure Champions League football for themselves and a place in the Europa League for City.Man United have already spoiled one big Boleyn Ground night for West Ham when they knocked them out of the FA Cup in a sixth-round replay last month. Sir Trevor Brooking expects Wednesdays final match at the Boleyn Ground to be emotional Asked if United can use the emotion of the night against West Ham, Van Gaal said: Yes it is a big night. I think the players shall feel that also.Tuesday we have to play against an opponent who says goodbye to the stadium. So they wont want to lose in their own stadium. They have already lost to Man United in the FA Cup match. That is also history. That is not good for us. And West Ham United is a very good team. Paul Scholes believes Manchester United fans have not been entertained this season under Louis van Gaal We haave a lot of respect for West Ham.dddddddddddd I think it is a historical big club in England and so we dont want to spoil their party but we need the three points and that is different.Manchester United will be without Marouane Fellaini, one of the stars of their FA Cup win, and Van Gaal concedes the loss of the Belgium international will make life tougher, especially at set-pieces. Louis van Gaal is wary of West Hams threat from set pieces We are normally the smallest team in the Premier League so we always have problems with set plays, he added. We have to cope with that and you are right, I can not deny that. It is the first time we are talking about our opponent and not about my sacking! Thank you, thank you for that. West Ham boss Slaven Bilic says he is focused on their match against Manchester United and not the fact its their last game at the Boleyn Ground Yes. I am very worried about that. I am always organising. We always have a meeting about that - every game - and it also takes a long time to organise it well.Van Gaal was keeping his cards close to his chest on team selection, having omitted Daley Blind and Marcus Rashford for the 1-0 win over Norwich, and he then lost another striker - Anthony Martial - in the warm-up at Carrow Road. Marcus Rashford could return after missing win over Norwich He said: That always depends on the data of my fatigue specialist. I have to decide then on the data of my fatigue specialist who I am taking with me. It is always like that. It can happen that I leave players at home as they are too tired. As for Martials fitness he added: We have to wait if his muscle is still tight as I dont take any risks as he is a very important player. We dont want a rupture. That is very important for us.  Also See: West Ham v Man Utd preview Watch: The Boleyn Boys Who gets into Europe?
